Privacy policy
Last updated: November 4, 2026
This policy explains what data the Jutros app and this website collect, why we collect it and what your rights are. We process data in line with the personal data protection laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If this translation and the Bosnian version differ, the Bosnian version prevails.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Jutros, Bosnia and Herzegovina. For any privacy question, write to info@jutros.ba.
2. Data we collect
You can browse catalogs and deals without an account. When you create an account or use certain features, we collect:
- Account data - your email address and password (the password is only stored in hashed form), and optionally your name, phone number, city and profile picture.
- Giveaway entries - name, email, optionally a phone number, your consent to notifications and who you shared the giveaway with (for bonus entries).
- Saved items - offers and ads you save.
- Outage settings - the city, street and utility you choose, so we can send you planned power and water cut announcements.
- Notification token - a technical device identifier needed to send push notifications, if you allow them.
- Ad statistics - whether an ad was shown, clicked or saved, so businesses can see total numbers. We do not show businesses who you are.
- Crash reports - technical data about an app crash (device model, system version, error details), without your name or email.
3. Location
Location is used only on your device, when you ask for the nearest store, and is passed to the maps app (Apple or Google Maps) you open. We do not store your location on our servers.
You can turn off the location permission at any time in your phone’s settings.
4. Why we use data
- to run your account and let you save offers;
- to run giveaways and to draw and contact winners;
- to send the notifications you turned on (new catalogs, outages, giveaway results);
- to show businesses aggregate statistics for their ads;
- to find and fix bugs and prevent abuse.
The legal bases are providing the service you asked for, your consent (notifications, location) and our legitimate interest in keeping the app secure and working. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising outside the app.
5. Data we publish
When you win a giveaway, we show your name (and profile picture, if you have one) together with the prize in the app. If you do not want your name published, contact info@jutros.ba before the winners are announced. We also remove names from the winners list later, on request.
6. Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that help run the app, and only as much as they need:
- Supabase - database, sign-in and file storage;
- Expo, Apple and Google - delivering push notifications;
- Sentry - crash reports.
Some of these providers store data outside Bosnia and Herzegovina, including in the EU and the US, under appropriate contractual safeguards. We may also disclose data to authorities when the law requires it.
7. How long we keep data
We keep account data while you have an account. We keep giveaway entries while the giveaway runs and for a reasonable period after the winners are announced, in case of complaints. We keep crash reports briefly, at most 90 days. What happens when you delete your account is described in the next section.
8. Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, right in the app: More → Settings → Delete account. For security, you confirm with your password. If you cannot use the app, write to info@jutros.ba from the account’s email address and we will delete it within 30 days. More on the Delete your account page.
Deletion is permanent and immediately removes:
- your sign-in account and profile (name, email, phone, city, profile picture);
- your saved offers;
- your giveaway entries;
- your power and water outage settings and notification token;
- all in-app notifications.
Ad view and click statistics remain, with no link to you. For business accounts: ads, catalogs and giveaways still waiting for review are deleted, and content already published stays visible until it expires, no longer linked to the deleted account. Database backups are not edited afterwards; they expire automatically within 30 days at most.
9. Your rights
You have the right to:
- see the data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate data (you can change most of it yourself in your profile);
- delete your account and all related data;
- withdraw consent, for example by turning off notifications or location;
- lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
You can delete your account yourself in the app (see section 8). For any other request, write to info@jutros.ba from the email address linked to your account. We reply within 30 days.
10. Children
Jutros is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Giveaway rules may set a higher minimum age.
11. This website
This website uses no tracking cookies or advertising tools. The server may keep standard technical logs (IP address, time of access) for security.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top. We will also tell you about significant changes in the app.
